Camcore 2009 Annual Meeting in Uruguay in November

Camcore 2008 Annual Meeting in Indonesia

Representatives from Camcore member companies met in Indonesia for this year’s annual meeting.  The entire trip was planned and organized by member PT Sumalindo Lestari Jaya.  For two weeks, the members discussed current and future research projects in Camcore and learned about forestry practices and environmental conditions in Indonesia. Every aspect of the tour was well-planned, and participants were shown a variety of forestry projects including plantations, trials, nurseries, and processing mills.  The cities and islands visited included Balikpapan and Samarinda on Borneo; Jakarta, Puncak, and Yogyakarta on Java; and Nusa Dua on Bali island.  Participants are very grateful to the hard-working staff of Sumalindo for providing such an enjoyable and informative experience.
